Not Saying the "T" Word

A quick review of headlines regarding the treatment of British sailors at the hands of Iranian captors revealed no use of the word "torture". Not surprising.

According to the sailors:
- their confessions were coerced,
- they were stripped
- they were held in solitary confinement, and
- they were subjected to mock firing squads.

Funny how those things lead to accusations of torture when the US is the detaining country. Indeed, funny how there has been no real mention of the Geneva Conventions throughout the whole incident, really. I guess some roads are only one-way.
